N is for Newsletter

editor extraordinaire

Newsletter editor, that is. You may have noticed that Steven Kuhl, our President, has been acting as interim editor of this Crossings newsletter this past year. For that we owe him a sincere "thank you" for a job well done.

Now, this past week, at the annual Crossings board meeting (more on that below) Michael Hoy was chosen to be the next editor. Michael is already well known to the Crossings Community; a past president and early Sabbatheology editor and writer. I thnk it is sometimes tempting to conclude that Michael's premier gift is editing simply because he does it so well. (Even now, he is busy editing two of Bob Bertram's books, readying them for publication.) But the truth is, Michael has that very special gift of articulating God's Good News in words that this post-modern generation can understand. He does this as he pastors Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in South St. Louis and serves as Dean and Professor for Lutheran School of Theology in St. Louis. We are delighted that Michael has agreed to be Crossings' next newsletter editor.
