Steven C. Kuhl is presently the Executive Director of the Crossings Community (starting in 2014) and has served many years both as a member of the Crossings Board of Directors (since 1993) and its President (from 1999-2014). He is an ordained minister in the ELCA, who shepherds St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, South Milwaukee, WI (thanks to the Full Communion relationship between the ELCA and EP-USA) and teaches as an Adjunct Professor for Lakeland University. He is a co-editor and contributor to Gospel Blazes in the Dark: A Festival of Writings Sparked in Honor of Edward H. Schroeder (2005), the writer of articles for various journals, and a frequent contributor to the Crossings Newsletter, Text Study and Blog ministries. Steve received a BS and MS in Areospace Engineering from the University of Minnesota, a M.Div from Christ Seminary-Seminex, and a PhD. in Systematic Theology from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. He has practical experience in Ecumenism, having served on the Unity and Relations Committee of the Wisconsin Council of Churches since 1999, extensive knowledge in Church history and historical theology, from years of teaching as a Seminary and College professor, and a deep interest in the interaction between Science and Theology. He lives in East Troy, WI as an (nearly) empty-nester with his wife Kelly and enjoys life in a small town.
